Although closed at the sides, this version is open at the toes and heel to ensure the feet get enough fresh air. The outsole is made from a lightweight EVA which is grippy and shock-absorbant.Birkenstock's finest component is easily the footbed, made from a durable cork which over time moulds to your foot. In the meantime, however, the bed features a deep heel which holds your foot firmly in the natural position, and a heel mould which activates your calf muscles. The midfoot is raised with arch support to provide you with natural stability and it has a toe grip for an enhanced fit.
